MET is conducted in mid-June at 7 centres in Punjab. The centres are Amritsar, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Mohali. The forms are submitted around the first week of June and the roll numbers are issued on the spot on receipt of application form.
Do I need to prepare for MET or Is it the same as MAT/CAT?
Yes. The syllabus for MET is quite different from MAT and CAT, and hence you should prepare extensively for it. The major difference is the 50% weightage to General Knowledge and Business Aptitude Sections which carry 0% weightage in CAT and 20% in MAT. So, special emphasis should be paid on these two sections. Also with competition increasing year by year, It is important to qualify as otherwise you will be wasting a year before doing your MBA unless you have a job where you gain work experience.
